Join us on a Bike Ride

Let’s ride the Virginia Creeper Trail together on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

The Virginia Creeper trail is a converted rail line that was opened in 1987 to the public for hiking and biking. The trail is a smooth hard packed surface of dirt, crushed cinders, and fine gravel. The ride begins in Whitetop, Va with a casual 17 miles downhill to Damascus, Va. This is where the casual riders will want to end. The second 17 miles is much more difficult and is for the more advanced rider. *(If you are not someone who rides often, do not attempt the 2nd section)* If you end your ride in Damascus, there are three restaurants where you can have lunch and a few shops to peruse. We will also have transportation that can take you to Abingdon, Va for shopping or sightseeing until the other riders finish the 2nd half.

7:00am Leave WTCC
10:30am Start the ride
4:30pm Leave Abingdon
6:35pm Arrive back at WTCC
