#LoveKnox Opportunity

The Ball Camp Elementary School is hosting a Spring Carnival for the Ball Camp community on Friday, April 14th from 5:30-8:30. This event is open to the ENTIRE community, not just Ball Camp families. We are expecting a few thousand people. There are several things West Towne Christian Church is trying to provide with your help, and there are even more opportunities to help outside of what WTCC is doing. Here are the priorities, but help anywhere you can…

Top Priority –
We need someone that will be willing to drive our church bus and Casa de Gracias’ church van back and forth from WTCC to Ball Camp Elementary School from approximately 5pm-9pm that night (or split shifts into 5-7 and 7-9). We are offering our parking lot for the parking overflow. The carnival will take up ALL of the school parking lot. We are still discussing possibly adding stops along the way like Food City and the SIA Firearms parking lots. A CDL Class C with P endorsement is required to drive the church bus. A regular license is sufficient to drive the church van though an F endorsement is preferred.

Next –
We are providing prizes for 5 carnival games. We need volunteers to work the games. These will be things like ring toss, football throw, bucket toss, etc. Basically, the child gives you a ticket, they play the game, you give them 1 prize, repeat. We would like 2 volunteers per game so you can rotate taking tickets and resetting the game, etc. Plus this will make restroom breaks a lot easier. These will also run in 5-7 and 7-9 shifts. But if you’d like to do both shifts, that is completely okay! You can switch games mid-shift so you aren’t doing the same thing the entire time. This is also a great opportunity for teenagers to volunteer.

Click here to sign up for these positions: Ball Camp Spring Carnival

Once we fill the above slots, I will add slots for manning the bounce houses they are borrowing from WTCC. And then slots to help with setup earlier that day. But for now, the above slots are the most important.
Other ways to participate – They are also having a cake walk. If you would like to make or purchase a baked good for the cake walk, you can sign up for that right here: Ball Camp Elementary School: Cake Walk Donations (signupgenius.com) You will just drop off you baked good at the school office no later than NOON on Friday, April 14th.
There is also 1 slot left at the vendor show in the school library that night. If you or someone you know would like to fill that last spot, the fee is $40 for a 7×7 booth. Contact Kimberly Batdorf at the number below.
Thank you in advance for your help and contact Kimberly if you have any questions!
