Join us after 2nd hour worship on Sunday, February 26th as we Converge on Cedar Bluff Elementary School. We’ll have a quick lunch after church and then travel to the school to do some simple cleaning. The school has had a shortage of janitorial help this year and we want to step in and give them a hand. Each family should bring some clorox wipes or some paper towels and windex.

Family Fun Night – Friday, February 17th

Come join us for exactly what the title says, “Family Fun Night”. Adults will have a great time competing in the the “Trivia Challenge” and participating in “Minute to Win It Games” downstairs in the FLC. Upstairs, kids from birth to 5th grade will be entertained by the youth and youth sponsors of WTCC.. Childcare is free. Snacks and drinks are provided.

There is also a silent auction during and after the festivities. If you would like to donate items for the silent auction, they would be greatly appreciated.

If you have questions about the event or possibly donating items for the auction, please contact Marshall Barnett or give him a call at 357-9822.

The cost is $25 per table to participate in the trivia challenge and the minute to win it games. All proceeds from this event go to fund our youth mission trips.

We had a great time at our first Converge service project. We stuffed almost 200 gift bags for Daniel and Mandy Watson to deliver to their neighbors who were inconvenienced after the Extreme Makeover filming. Here are a couple of photos from the event:

Souper Bowl Coming February 5th

The Super Bowl is coming February 5th and once again the high school youth at WTCC will travel to Knox Area Rescue Mission to prepare and serve a meal for the residents there. Following the meal we will host two separate Super Bowl parties during the game — one for the residents and one for the walk-ins.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

We need donations of chili soup, chicken noodle soup, and crackers for the meal. We also need snacks donated for the parties after the meal. Suggested snacks are: Doritos, potato chips & dip, chips and salsa, candy bars, cookies, brownies, soft drinks, etc.

We normally feed hundreds, so we’ll need gallons of soup and chili and plenty of snacks and sodas.

Deliver all donations of soups or snacks to the FLC kitchen on Sunday morning—February 5.

Young and the Breathless Basketball

The Young & Breathless Basketball League begins January 15!! There are six teams participating. If you want to play, please contact Marshall Barnett at marshall@followjesus.org. Spots are still available to play. Games are played at 2, 3 and 4 pm on Sundays. The season runs 5 weeks followed by a 2 week tournament.
