Nursery Position Description

1st Hour 8:45 – 10:15

2nd Hour 10:15 – 11:45

 

Summer session is from June 1 to mid August

School year session is from mid August to June 1

Please choose to work summer session or school session or both

 

Nursery Worker responsibilities include:

  • Caring for infants from a couple weeks old until they are walking well
  • Changing diapers and occasionally being spit up upon J
  • Feeding bottles and goldfish
  • Crawling around on the floor to play with the crawlers
  • Your biggest job is to pray over the babies and their families and to tell them in words or in song that Jesus loves them

Toddler Position Description

1st Hour 8:45 – 10:15

2nd Hour 10:15 – 11:45

 

Summer session is from June 1 to mid August

School year session is from mid August to June 1

Please choose to work summer session or school session or both

 

Toddler volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Caring for toddlers from the time they are walking well until they are promoted to the 2 year old class
  • This includes changing diapers J
  • The toddler class is mostly free play with lots of time sitting on the floor or in a rocker reading books
  • A snack is provided for you to give the toddlers during the time between services when teachers are coming and going
  • Your biggest job is to pray over the toddlers and their families and to tell them in words or in song that Jesus loves them

Two’s Position Description

1st Hour 8:45 – 10:15

2nd Hour 10:15 – 11:45

 

Summer session is from June 1 to mid August

School year session is from mid August to June 1

Teacher responsibilities include:

  • Reading the provided lesson and gathering the needed materials from the supply closet before class
  • Marking the attendance sheets while in the class 
  • 1st hour - Checking to see that parents have security cards
  • 2nd hour – checking security cards of parents as they pick up – only someone with the child’s security card can pick them up
  • 1st hour – administering the provided snack between services
  • 2nd hour – taking children to Wee Worship from 10:45 – 11:00
  • Getting to know the children and loving them with the love of Jesus

Two's Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Coming to class ready to assist the teacher
  • The teacher may ask you to gather materials or may ask you to fill in teaching one week
  • Getting to know the children and loving them with the love of Jesus

Three’s Position Description

1st Hour 8:45 – 10:15

Preschool Greeter responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming families at the Preschool check in window
  • Assisting families with the security tags
  • Helping new families fill out their registration forms and making them feel comfortable
  • Knowing where all of the Preschool classes are located
  • Getting to know the regular parents and kids by name

Preschool Snack Person Position Description

1st Hour 8:45-9:00 and 10:00 -10:10

2nd Hour 11:45 – 12:00

Preschool Snack Person responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the trays of snacks and juice for all 4 classes
  • Delivering a tray of cheerios and juice to the toddler class at 9:00
  • Delivering trays of snack and juice to the other 3 classes at 10:00
  • Leaving a second tray of snack for the toddler teachers in the kitchen window
  • Picking up the trays from the classrooms after church
  • Putting away unused snacks and juice and washing cups, pitchers, and bowls
