Control Center (F14)

  1. Description This is the office and counter area that is located at the main entrance of the Family Life Center.  The lost and found is located here as well as all of the sports equipment for the gym.
  2. Policy This area is not available to be reserved and should only be used by the staff or trained volunteer of WTCC.

Gymnasium (F10)

  1. Description The Gym is 50ft by 100ft.  It can seat up to 500 people theatre style.  The basketball court is a high school/college regulation court.  It has one stationary basketball goal and one retractable basketball goal.  It is also equipped for one volleyball court.  The floor is a rubberized material that can be used for athletics as well as eating.
  2. Ideal Room Usage This room is ideally used for an array of athletic events as well as large meals that seat 50 or more.
  3. Policy
    • Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
    • The gym floor must be swept after every organized activity.
    • Shoes are required at all times, but no street shoes or black soled shoes are allowed for athletic activities.  Any "questionable" shoes must be approved by the host of an event.
    • No baseballs, softballs, footballs, skateboards or in-line skates are allowed in the gym.
    • No hanging on the basketball rims.
    • All team practices must be scheduled through the application process.  There will be no team practices without a reservation.
    • Shirts are required at all times.
    • Nothing should be thrown from the gym to the track or ceiling above.
    • Gym equipment, such as portable equipment, volleyball standards, score-clock consoles, etc., will be set up by a qualified staff member or volunteer.
    • Conflicting activities should be avoided while in the gym.  Scheduled activity always takes precedent over free-play.
    • Only authorized staff and volunteers are allowed in the storage and equipment areas.
    • Banquets held in the gym must meet the following criteria:
      • The gym will be made available three hours prior to the event.
      • Decorations must be removed immediately.
      • There must be a host from the church present.
      • The minimum number of participants is 50.
    • The gym should be cleaned when an event is finished.  The associated cleaning fee will be imposed if the room is not cleaned.

Kitchen in the Family Life Center (F12)

  1. Description This kitchen is a commercial kitchen capable of feeding 50-600.  It is equipped with a convection oven, gas range, tilt skillet, warming cabinet, ice machine, various sinks (deep, vegetable, and hand), microwave oven, refrigerator, freezer, and storage.
  2. Ideal Room Usage This room will ideally be used to cater large banquets and other meals of a hundred people or more.
  3. Policy
    • An approved Kitchen Coordinator must oversee all food preparation and cleanup.  Quarterly training will be available to qualify as an Approved Kitchen Coordinator.
    • When storing food it must be labeled and dated.  Unlabeled items left in the refrigerator or freezer will be discarded at the kitchen supervisors discretion.
    • The commercial kitchen will stay locked when it is not in use.
    • Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the kitchen without adult supervision.
    • Cleaning is the responsibility of the Applicant under supervision of the Approved Kitchen Coordinator.
    • All non-members, and organizations must supply their own disposable service when using this kitchen.

 Upper Kitchen

  1. Description This kitchen is a conventional kitchen capable of feeding 5-50.  It is equipped with a two stacked ovens, two four-burner stove tops with center griddles, ice machine, one sing with three sections, two microwaves, an electric can-opener, refrigerator, freezer, and storage.
  2. Ideal Room Usage Ideally, this kitchen will be for small receptions that feed up to 50 people and daily use by the staff and others on site.
  3. Policy
    • When storing food it must be labeled and dated.  Unlabeled items left in the refrigerator or freezer will be discarded.
    • Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the kitchen without adult supervision.
    • Cleaning of the kitchen is the responsibility of the Applicant.
    • All non-members, and organizations must supply their own disposable service when using this kitchen.
    • This kitchen and the open area outside the kitchen are included as part of the reservation for weddings that use the worship center.

Snack Area/Lounge (F13)

  1. Description This is the lounge that is located at the main entrance of the Family Life Center of the lower floor.  Snack and soda machines are located in this area.  There is also a small sitting area.
  2. Ideal Room Usage The area will ideally be used to build community.  It is an area to sit and talk, watch basketball games, and wait to meet others.
  3. Policy
    • All snacks and drinks are limited to this area unless there is an organized meal in the gym area.
    • This area is not available for reservation.
    • This place should be left clean at all times because this is a place where visitors will most likely enter.

 Walking Track (F20)

  1. Description The walking tract is 6ft wide and 50ft by 100ft on the ends of and sides.  Approximately 26 laps equals one mile.  The walking surface is carpeted with a hand-rail around the entire track.  The track also doubles as a hallway for the classrooms on the upper level of the Family Life Center.
  2. Ideal Usage This track is ideally used for walking.
  3. Policy
    • The walking track is open during normal hours.  Persons using the walking track must consider other events occurring in the gymnasium or adjacent classrooms to minimize interference during those hours.
    • Jogging is allowed by be mindful of others using the facilities.
    • Slower users need to walk on the outside of the track.
    • Direction of the track will alternate weekly.
    • The track will not be open when banquets are being held in the gymnasium.
    • Strollers are allowed on the track.
    • Skating will not be allowed on the track.

 Craft Room (F22)

  1. Description The craft room is 25ft by 40ft.  It is equipped with a sink and cabinets for supply storage.  This room is tiled for easy clean up.  It is located on the second floor of the Family Life Center adjacent to the men's restroom and above the kitchen.  There are two doors into this room.  This room can support 40 to 50 crafters working at one time.
  2. Ideal Room Usage This room will ideally be used to hold various craft events while also doubling as a classroom and small reception area.
  3. Policy
    • The craft room will be locked when not in use.
    • Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to be in the craft room without proper adult supervision.
    • This room must be cleaned after every use including the removal of trash.
    • Parties reserving the facility cannot hang anything on the walls.
    • This area is available as a small reception area.
    • The equipment in this room is included in the reservation of the room.
    • The party reserving the room is responsible for the equipment.

 Worship Center (W1)

  1. Description The worship center seats up to 270 comfortably.  It is equipped with a sound system and video support.  The worship center is in an octagonal layout with five seating sections made up of fixed pews.  It has a two-tier stage with an orchestra section in the back.  Lighting in the worship center consists of multiple sections of fluorescent lights and incandescent flood lights.
  2. Ideal Room Usage The worship center is limited to worship services, ceremonies (i.e. weddings and funerals), and religious performances.
  3. Policy
    • The worship center will not be open for everyday use.
    • The worship center must be cleaned including vacuuming after each use.
    • The worship center will be locked during regular hours.
    • Sound equipment is included in the reservation of the worship center but there must be a trained sound technician from WTCC assisting with its use.
    • The piano and organ are the only instruments that can be used during a reservation without special written permission.
    • The video equipment associated with the worship center can only be used with special permission and with trained supervision.
    • The reservation of the worship center for weddings includes the reservation of the small kitchen and the Gathering Area.

 Copier/Supply Room (A2)

  1. Description The copier and supply room is equipped with one stand alone copier, a Brother MFC7000 5-in-1 machine, an HP Laser-jet 4 printer, a desktop computer, a paper cutter, a folding machine and numerous supplies.
  2. Ideal Room Usage This room is primarily for use by the ministries of WTCC
  3. Policy
    • This room is not available for reservation.
    • All supplies in this room are for the use of WTCC and are not to be used by other groups without express written permission.
    • Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in this room.
    • Make sure all mess is cleaned up when you are finished.
    • Any malfunctioning equipment must be reported to a WTCC staff member immediately.
    • Nothing should be saved on the hard drive of the computer in the room.  Please save things to your own disk.
    • There is a 10 cent per copy charge for all black and white personal copies or printouts and a 15 cent per copy charge with all color personal copies or printouts.  This money will be collected on the honor system.  There is a container above the copier for this money.

Pre-School Playground

  1. Description The preschool playground is open to the public.  The Pre-school playground is located on the East side of the pre-school wing of the main building.  It is designed for children age 7 and younger.  It is made of one main apparatus with several slides, decks and climbers.  A special rubberized tile has been installed under this apparatus to help reduce injury.  The remaining surface is pea gravel.  There are other things within the playground such as a dinosaur climber and a boat enclosure.
  2. Policy
    • Children older than 7 will not be allowed to play on any part of this playground.
    • Children must have adult supervision at all times.
    • The access gates must remain closed to insure that children stay within the playground area.
    • Any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions must be reported to the WTCC staff immediately.

Elementary Playground

  1. Description This playground can be used by any age and is open to the public.  It is located beside the volleyball court of the South-West corner of the property.  It has four swings, several climbers, a couple of slides and a jumper, etc.
  2. Policy
    • Children must have adequate adult supervision at all times.
    • Any Malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions must be reported to the WTCC staff immediately.

Youth House (YH)

  1. Description The youth house consists of six rooms of various sizes.  Some of these rooms can be closed off in order to facilitate segregation of multiple groups using the youth house.  There is a conventional kitchen upstairs.  There are three full baths.
  2. Ideal Use The youth house is ideally used to host small overnight groups and other small group meetings.  Meetings may include meals.  On a weekly basis it is used for youth classes.
  3. Policy
    • The youth house is to remain locked unless in use for classes or meetings.
    • The youth house may be reserved as a whole or on an individual room basis.
    • Every room used during an event must be cleaned by the user.

Gathering Area

  1. Description The Gathering area includes the main entrance of WTCC and open area between the main entrance and doors to the Worship Center.  It is furnished with couches and chairs for sitting and talking.
  2. Ideal Room Usage This area is ideally used for fellowship.  This may include small receptions of 50 to 100 people.
  3. Policy
    • It must be understood that this is the main entrance at WTCC and that any reservation of this area may be interrupted do to normal access by WTCC staff or members.
    • All furniture must be put back in its original position after use.
    • This area is included in the reservation of the worship center for weddings and funerals.

Classrooms (F23-26 & A6) 

  1. Description There are five classrooms regular classrooms.  These are the four classrooms on the second floor of the Family Life Center and the classroom in the far South-West corner of the office wing in the Main Building.  The four classrooms in the FLC are 25ft. by 25ft. and the classroom in the main building 25ft. by 18ft.  These classrooms are all equipped with white boards, TV/VCR combos and overhead projectors with pull-down screens.
  2. Ideal Room Usage These rooms are great for educational classes or small group meetings.
  3. Policy
    • Meals are not allowed to be served in these rooms.
    • Make sure the room is set up in the same way it was before the reserved usage.
    • Only use dry erase markers on the white boards.
    • Erase everything from the white board when finished.
    • Make sure the TV/VCR combo is turned off and the remote returned to its place when finished.

 Multi-Purpose Room (A15)
