3.0  General Instructions for All Users

3.1 Normal Hours of Operation

  • WTCC is open for 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
  • The walking track is available for use during all hours that the church is open.
  • Free play hours.

  •  Other Hours may be established by the staff and board.

3.2 Prohibited Behaviors for All Facilities

  • Do not lean tables or chairs on any wall unless it is brick or block.
  • when hanging things on the wall never use anything that makes a hole or has a tendency to damage the paint (i.e. duct tape, packing tape, masking tape, etc).
  • No cursing or use of vulgar language.
  • Tobacco (in any form), weapons, alcohol or drugs, or anything else that would detract from a Christian atmosphere, will not be allowed on the campus of WTCC.
  • Because of the difficulty of keeping gum off floors, walls, etc., it is requested that we refrain from chewing gum while in the gym area.
  • All snacks and drinks should remain in the snack/lounge area of the gym unless there is an organized meal.

3.3 Encouraged Behaviors for All Facilities

  • A smile is always encouraged.
  • Exhibit a loving and caring attitude.
  • Be unselfish.
  • Return all equipment and furnishings back to where you found them.
  • Clean up all trash and empty trash cans.  Replace the trash can liner.
  • When finished using the facility, vacuum or sweep the area used (depending on the floor surface).  We encourage you to make sure that the facilities are left as clean if not cleaner than when you found it for the next group.
  • Remove all decorations.
  • Turn off all lights prior to leaving the facilities.
  • Make sure that the area you used is locked up when you leave.
  • Prayer is encouraged before any sporting event and every meal.

3.4 Equipment Usage

  • To insure that all equipment and furnishings necessary for a scheduled event are available, the applicant must indicate the needed items on the application (i.e. tables, chairs, volleyball equipment, VCR, TV, etc.).
  • Due to the floor upkeep all equipment and furnishings used in the gymnasium must belong to WTCC including tables, chairs, etc.
  • The cost of repairing damage or replacing equipment of furniture damaged during an activity held at the church must be borne by the using group.

3.5 Equipment Check-Out Procedure

  • If you are reserving the facility you must request all equipment needed on the application form.  This equipment will then be made available at the time of your event. 
  • During free play hours in the gym, all balls and other equipment must be signed out and checked back in when you are done.

3.6 Lost and Found
All lost and found items are kept in the lost and found box under the counter in the control center.  All items will given to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries if not claimed after 30 days.

3.7 Liability

  •  The use of WTCC facilities and all equipment will be at the risk of the participant.  WTCC does not make any express or implied warranty of the premises, the equipment, machiner, fixtures or furniture.
  • Groups using the facilities must maintain insurance consistent with the liability of activity.  Specific insurance requirements may be identified by the church during the approval process.
